My story began…
on the stage, my medium at that time was ballet. I received a scholarship to dance in college and explored other areas of study including pedagogy and psychology. Learning about how people interact with and understand the world around them has always fascinated me, but it wasn’t until I discovered UX design years later that I was able to combine this curiosity with a creative field.
I like to think my powers fall between 'dancer' and 'designer'-- somewhere in between I balance the agility of a performer with the foresight and empathy of a designer. Both disciplines are about taking artifacts, stories and feelings, and finding new ways to connect them to create something — physical or intangible. After working primarily in software the past two years, I’m really interested in applying my background towards designing services, as well as products.
As a designer, I draw inspiration from the things beyond my desk. I find beauty in observation—of places, people and perspectives, and typically come up with my most creative ideas in nature..
When I’m not playing outside, you can find me with coffee in hand antique shopping, fixing up my new farmhouse, reading about personality types with my ragdoll cats or twirling in the studio.
